Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: June 15, 2026 Last Updated: June 15, 2026

Healing TMS Clinic is committed to providing a website and clinical experience that is accessible to people with disabilities. This statement describes our compliance approach, the accessibility features built into htmsclinic.com, and how to request an accommodation.

1. Standards we follow

This website is built to substantially conform to the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, the de facto international standard for web accessibility and the benchmark referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and California Government Code §11135.

Specific design and engineering choices that support WCAG 2.2 AA:

  • Semantic HTML. Pages use proper landmark elements (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>) and heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3) so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
  • Native accessibility, not overlay widgets. This site does not use accessibility overlay tools (sometimes branded as "AI accessibility" widgets). Such overlays have been criticized by the disability community and the U.S. Department of Justice for failing to meaningfully improve compliance and sometimes interfering with assistive technology. We instead build accessibility directly into our code.
  • Color contrast. Text against background color meets or exceeds a 4.5:1 contrast ratio at normal text size, and 3:1 at large text size.
  • Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) are reachable and operable using only a keyboard, with visible focus indicators meeting WCAG focus visibility requirements.
  • Tap target size. Interactive elements on mobile meet the WCAG 2.2 minimum 44×44-pixel target size.
  • Reduced motion. Animations and transitions are minimal and respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query.
  • Alt text. Substantive images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked as such so they are skipped by screen readers.
  • Form labels. Every form input is associated with a visible label, and validation errors are announced to assistive technology.
  • Responsive layout. Pages reflow without horizontal scrolling at viewport widths down to 320 pixels (per WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.10).

2. Ongoing compliance

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We:

  • Test new pages and features against WCAG 2.2 AA before publishing
  • Use automated accessibility scanning as part of our publishing workflow (axe-core, Lighthouse)
  • Conduct periodic manual review with keyboard-only navigation and at least one screen reader (NVDA on Windows or VoiceOver on macOS / iOS)
  • Treat accessibility defects with the same priority as functional bugs

We acknowledge that no website is perfectly accessible at all times. If you encounter content that is difficult to use with assistive technology, please contact us so we can address it promptly.

3. Clinical accessibility (in-person care)

Our Anaheim office is committed to physical accessibility. [PRACTICE-STAT NEEDED: confirm wheelchair access, accessible parking, ADA-compliant entrance, accessible restroom, and any other physical accommodations].

If you need a specific accommodation for your appointment — including but not limited to American Sign Language interpretation, large-print materials, or alternative scheduling — please call (657) 656-5611 in advance of your visit so we can prepare.

4. Known limitations

We strive for full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance, and we disclose known limitations transparently as they are identified. At the time of this statement, we are aware of the following limitations:

  • We are not currently aware of accessibility limitations on the Site. Embedded third-party content (Google Maps, payment widgets when added) may have accessibility characteristics outside our direct control.

This list is updated as issues are identified and resolved.

5. Third-party content

This website may include content provided by third parties (for example, embedded video players or maps). We do not control the accessibility of third-party content. Where reasonably possible, we provide alternative ways to access the underlying information (such as transcripts, captions, or text descriptions).

6. Requesting an accommodation or reporting an accessibility barrier

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of htmsclinic.com and our in-clinic experience. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need an accommodation, please contact us:

  • Email: hello@htmsclinic.com
  • Phone: (657) 656-5611
  • Mail: 5475 East La Palma Avenue, Suite 204, Anaheim, CA 92807

We will respond within five business days. If you require a faster response (for example, an upcoming appointment), please call and identify your request as time-sensitive.
